WBSO Subsidy in the Netherlands: Supporting Innovation Through Tax Incentives

subsidie WBSO in Nederland Tax Credit, in Dutch: Wet Bevordering Speur- en Ontwikkelingswerk) is a government scheme in the Netherlands that encourages companies to invest in research and development (R&D). It offers a tax benefit that reduces the cost of innovation for businesses of all sizes — from startups to large corporations.

Different Types of Attic Insulation

Insulating your attic insulation is one of the most important things you can do to make your home more energy efficient and comfortable. It creates a barrier that helps maintain a consistent temperature throughout the home, reducing your energy bills and helping reduce carbon emissions. It also helps prevent moisture accumulation in the attic, which can lead to ice dams in the winter and damage to ceilings, walls, and insulation.

Attic insulation can be installed in a variety of ways, depending on your needs and budget. Here are a few of the most popular options:

Fiberglass Batts

Made from glass fibers; available in sheets or in blanket form and can be rolled, blown, or stapled into attics. Effective, relatively inexpensive, and fire-resistant. May irritate skin or eyes during installation; proper protective gear recommended. Can degrade over time and lose its R-value.

Cellulose Insulation

Manufactured from recycled paper or plant-based materials and treated with fire retardants. Effective, relatively expensive, and environmentally friendly. Often requires professional installation. May irritate the respiratory tract; adequate ventilation is required. Can be blown or rolled, but can settle over time and lose its R-value. Does not mix well with moisture and can promote mold growth.

Spray foam is a good option if you have an oddly shaped attic space that other forms of insulation can’t reach. It’s a liquid that expands into foam when applied, filling gaps and cracks effectively. It is a good choice for air sealing as well as insulating, and offers a high R-value.
